On Etsy nobody reads anything until a picture has already earned the click.

Your listing photos are doing more work than your description, your tags and

your price put together — and there's a crop happening to your first photo

that most sellers have never noticed.

In this tutorial we build a complete ten-image listing set in Canva: the hero

that survives the crop, the mockups that make a digital file feel like an

object, the scale shot that prevents returns, and the information cards that

answer questions before they're asked. No camera, no studio.

⚠️ The one thing to know: Etsy's search results crop your FIRST photo to

**5:4 — 570 × 456 px**, taking the middle and throwing away the top and

bottom. Upload the recommended 2000 × 2000 square and the version buyers

actually see is a bad crop of it. Everything essential has to live inside the

middle 5:4 band.
