The half of a media kit nobody teaches

Every tutorial shows you how to lay one out. Almost none of them tell you what number to put on it — which is the only reason a sponsor opens it. A media kit is a pricing document, not a design problem, and its only job is to make one specific number feel obviously fair. This is the whole thing from the tutorial, ready to edit.

What's inside

  • The editable Canva media kit — A4, three pages: the cover with four number cards, the audience page with the country, age, gender and device charts, and the rates page with the three-row table and the standards line.
  • The five-numbers worksheet — the only five numbers a sponsor needs, exactly where each one lives in YouTube Studio, with a line to write yours on.
  • The pricing calculator — the formula, realistic CPM ranges, the format multipliers for a link, a segment, a dedicated video and a Short, and three worked examples end to end.
  • The four emails, written out — the reply when a brand approaches you, the cold pitch when you approach them, what to send when they say the price is too high, and the single follow-up.
  • The send checklist — eleven checks before it leaves your outbox. Most rejected pitches fail on one of the first four.

The mistake this saves you from

The obvious thing to lead with is your subscriber count. Don't. A sponsor is not buying subscribers — they are buying delivered views, and those two numbers come apart much further than people expect. A channel with a hundred thousand subscribers getting two thousand views a video is worth less to a sponsor than a channel with eight thousand subscribers getting five thousand, and the second one usually charges less, because the subscriber number embarrassed them. Lead with the number they are actually paying for and the whole conversation changes.

And the multiplier nobody mentions

Where your audience lives moves your price by two to three times, for the exact same views in the exact same niche. That is not a reason to leave the country mix out of your kit. It is the reason to put it on page two with one sentence saying what it buys them — a brand selling into those markets is buying reach it cannot get cheaper anywhere else. The calculator covers how to price it honestly in both directions.

Who it's for

Any creator who has been asked for their rates and had no idea what to say — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or a newsletter. It assumes nothing but a free Canva account and access to your own analytics.
